Combining Citizen Science with Coastal Clean-Up with WWFHK

Recently, Veolia Hong Kong and Macau participated in a meaningful coastal clean-up initiative and citizen science project at Yuen Chau Tsai, Tai Po, organized by WWF-Hong Kong. This hands-on activity was designed to combat marine litter pollution and foster environmental awareness. This experience transcended traditional volunteering, offering a chance to:

  • Gain historical and cultural insight into Tai Po and Island House architecture.

  • Understand how the plastic pollution crisis is impacting our marine ecosystems.

  • Foster positive behavioural change and environmental responsibility.

By mobilizing our employees in eco-centric events, we are committed to cultivating a culture of environmental awareness that educates our colleagues to adopt sustainable lifestyles that minimise our impact on the earth. This initiative embodies Veolia Cares in action. Moving forward, we will continue to promote activities related to employee well-being and corporate social responsibility.
