Veolia transforms overlooked infrastructure into productive assets by developing renewable energy solutions on repurposed land.

Pioneering Land Repurposing

We turned an idle landfill slope into Hong Kong's largest solar installation of its kind. The project utilizes approximately 140,000 square feet within an 80-hectare restored landfill area, showcasing the massive potential for additional development.

Integrated Green Functions

The solar farm allows the site to successfully achieve three green functions in one location: solar power generation, construction waste processing, and landfill gas production and utilization.

Grid Contribution

This project is Hong Kong’s first solar farm built on a restored landfill that participates in the Feed-in Tariff Scheme
