Veolia volunteers recently joined forces with The Green Earth for the "Walk The Talk 2026" campaign — a Green Trail Challenge promoting Leave No Trace principles across Hong Kong's country parks.

The team trekked the Lung Fu Shan Morning Trail from The Peak to Kotewall Road, collecting 8 kg of litter, including food packaging, used tissues, and cigarette butts. These items, often overlooked, were found tucked into hidden corners and buried beneath leaves along the trail — posing risks to the surrounding environment and local wildlife.

The team paused at the Peak lookout to take in panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, with lush greenery lining the trail throughout. Walking alongside visitors from around the world served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of preserving these natural spaces for the benefit of all.

Supported by the Veolia Cares programme, this initiative reflects the company's commitment to volunteerism and meaningful staff engagement that generates positive impact for the workplace, the environment, and the wider community.
